HOW TO ENTER AND HOW TO WIN Go to www.maidbrigadegiveaway.com to apply. Applicants must provide a Certificate of Release or Discharge of Active Duty (Form DD 214). This can be faxed, mailed or scanned and emailed to us. They must also complete the Maid Brigade Veterans Franchise Questionnaire which includes an essay: Describe in 100 words or more: What aspects of your military leadership, training, and experience would you apply to your own Maid Brigade operation? Winners will be selected by a panel of four judges: Rear Admiral Michael H. Miller, Ted Daywalt, Military Veteran and President of VetJobs.com, Inc., Don Hay, Founder and Chairman of Maid Brigade, Inc. and Ray Toombs, Military Veteran and Maid Brigade Franchise Owner. Each applicant will be brought through a process very similar to any candidate applying for a Maid Brigade franchise. However, in this case, their military background and successes will be taken into consideration. The application process will be as follows: Applicants can expect their review process to take four to six weeks, allowing ample time for them and Maid Brigade to get to know each other.
1. From July 4 to September 30, 2009, veterans may complete and submit the Maid Brigade Veterans Franchise Giveaway application online. Maid Brigade then mails each qualified applicant a Franchise Information Package.
2. Maid Brigade and applicants then arrange a telephone interview to discuss the company's systems, territories and business goals. Afterward, Maid Brigade sends them a Franchise Disclosure Document and additional documentation on the company and specific territories. 3. Qualified candidates speak with current Maid Brigade franchisees to hear firsthand some of the "nuts and bolts" surrounding ownership. They also work with Maid Brigade planners to complete Advertising and Financial Planners. 4. In October, after Maid Brigade receives all contest entry forms, the panel of judges selects the top 10 applicants, who must meet Maid Brigade’s standards for new franchisees. If fewer than 10 applicants meet those standards, then only those who meet the standards will proceed to the next stage of the contest. Maid Brigade flies them to Atlanta to attend an all-expenses paid special Veterans Giveaway Discovery Day, where the applicants get to know more about the company and judges get to know more about the applicants. 5.
